GRANSHAN Competition: History & Results 2012
This exhibition combines the results of the first years which are focused on the categories of Armenian, Cyrillic and Greek with the results of the competition 2012, meanwhile widened by Indian and Arabic. It shows how the beauty of language can flourish in script.

The GRANSHAN competition is presented by the Armenian Ministry of Culture and Typographische Gesellschaft München. The impressive diversity and variety of script exemplify the importance of its local identities. In turn, this leads directly to the winner of the GRANSHAN Grande Price Nokia Pure illustrating the economic importance of script.

From hot metal to open type – University of Reading
The Institute for Typography of the University of Reading will open up its unique archive of Non‑Latin Typefaces. It allows us to sneak a fascinating peak into a collection normally reserved for students and researchers only. The exhibition is co-curated by Dr Fiona Ross and Mr Vaibhav Singh.

Letter.2 aims to provide a wide-angled snapshot of the state of typeface design around the globe ten years after the 2001 competition, and to promote typographic excellence and best professional practices. It also intends to raise awareness about the role of typography in encouraging and maintaining cultural diversity.
